We looked at 100 most searched for topics on TikTok in Kenya, in the past month.
The seventh one will shock you, hehe. I’m kidding, this is not a tabloid.
The trend is interesting though, out of 100 more than 70% were about entertainment or as Kenyans call it, Sherehe. Even in this economy and the governments overtaxing spree, Kenyans are still trying to find ways of having fun, albeit affordably.
These searches range from date spots, romantic date spots, Airbnb getaways, to searches on affordable places to hangout around specific areas along Thika Road and within Kenya generally.
The other 30% of the searches are split between how to make money online, beauty and outfit searches, house hunting around Nairobi and mental health.
If you are in marketing or trying to build something for the Kenyan consumer, there is no better place than TikTok to find exactly what Kenyans are looking for and need today.
